Sidery previously reported that Harden and the Cavaliers already have a contract agreement in place.
However, Cleveland is delaying the official signing to preserve salary-apron flexibility for the potential addition of another starter.
The Cavaliers are reportedly prioritizing Watson through a sign-and-trade while also remaining in close contact with Jonathan Kuminga.
Once Cleveland completes its remaining roster business, the franchise is expected to finalize Harden’s contract.

Strus would give Denver an experienced wing capable of providing high-level shooting and floor spacing around Nikola Jokic.
